My daughter had a volleyball tournament against Lyons high school on September 26,2016 . And 2 other high schools as well . I came to find out Lyons high school likes to cheat . It was suppose to of been a junior only volleyball tournament and it came to my attention that this school was cheating putting seniors to play to win the tournaments . When my school was honest not to put any seniors to play . But this school broke the rules just to win . Lyons high school needs to be more honest and follow the rules if it was a junior tournament the coach should of followed the rules . Shame on Lyons high school coach for putting there seniors to play on a junior only tournament. Shame on this coach at Lyons high school. Cheats.
I graduated LT in 1987 under a different name, and have nothing but the fondest memories of this school. If I am ever back in Illinois, I will come back and visit. I still have dreams about this school, and especially the clock tower. LTHS forever!
Salute and respect to the best of the staff and best of the leadership at LT which sought to inspire and bring out the best in its students. Salute also to our churches and to the good people of our town who were "right" so much of the time, and supported our school, as well as "learned" from our school's leaders: Those who made so much of what was experienced at LT and in our town truly terrific ! Great town, great leadership and great school! GO LT !!! GO LIONS !!!
LTHS had some of the greatest people ever - teaching us, leading us, and supporting the LaGrange community. (And some of the most cutting, as we might remember too well and roll on the floor laughing as we remember ! --- Oh, the pain of the fangs and claws of our LION folks ! --- Beware the lacerations if anyone thinks about gettin' some of the lions too riled up!) Wow! What a place LTHS and LaGrange were, and hopefully still are.
It's been decades that some of us have been away. The GOOD people at LT and in the LaGrange area, years ago, made so much that happened truly worthwhile. ---- The phys.ed. dept. and sports programs were magnificent models of what schools should do "right"; the science teachers fantastic; the administration staff amazing; and the LaGrange culture one of the best, in many ways. If only we all could aspire to be as idealistic as some of the BEST people with whom we were blessed; as HARDWORKING as we were NAGGED to be. (LOL- oh, yeah, may as well tell the truth! Good wishes to the great teachers and coaches who kept after us.) If only we could also be as KIND as we were encouraged to be, and were privileged to experience from some of the people during our years at LT; as RESPONSIBLE and CONSIDERATE as we should be . . . That is what made the COMMUNITY atmosphere in LaGrange good; which so many of our "leaders" at LT tried to encourage in us and in our town. If only we had had the opportunity to raise our children in a haven as "SAFE" and cohesive, on some things, as LT and LaGrange had been . . .

Class of 1969....what else can I say other than I was super fortunate to be living in a town where I would be able to attend such a fine school. Imagine, in 1966 you could take 4 years of latin or Russian at this high school. 5,500 students when I attended with my graduating class being around 1,300. Visit for the beauty of those old walls.
